Responding to Reviews (Hosts)
Every review of your properties can receive one public response from you as the host. Your answer appears directly below the review on the property page.
Where to Respond
Open Reviews in your host dashboard to see all reviews across your listings and post your responses.
How to Respond Well
- Thank first — even critical reviewers took the time
- Address specifics — reply to the concrete points, not with boilerplate
- Stay factual — future guests read your tone as much as the review itself
- Describe fixes — "the washing machine was replaced the same week" beats any apology
Handling Criticism
- A calm, concrete response to a critical review builds more trust than a page of five-star ratings
- Do not argue about opinions; correct only verifiable facts
- Never post guest personal data in a response
If a Review Breaks the Rules
Guests can only review their own completed stays, so fake bookings are not possible. If a review is nevertheless abusive or unlawful, report it instead of escalating publicly.
Why Respond at All
Listings with engaged hosts convert better: crews see that someone cares before they ever send an inquiry.
